1. Effective Search for Your Assignment

This workshop will introduce how to locate materials in the Library, optimize the use of Google Scholar, Google Books and Google when doing research for your assignments.

 

2. Doing a Successful Project

Don¡¦t know how to kick-start a project? This workshop will guide you to choose a topic, identify and evaluate resources and avoid plagiarism. It also shows you how to search full-text journal articles using SearchPlus and SFX.

 

3. Making a Professional Presentation

Introduce some cool and new presentation tools and show how to search library materials in special formats (e.g. images, sound recordings, e-videos, etc.) to enrich your content.

 

4. Finding Business Information I ¡V Company Information and Industry Trends

Learn how to search company information and industry trends by Business Sources Complete, Business Insights: Global and LexisNexis Academic.

 

5. Finding Business Information II ¡V Business News and Analyst Reports

Learn how to search business news and analyst reports by Factiva, Passport and CSMAR Solution.

 

6. Manage Your Research with RefWorks

Struggling with your reference list in APA styles? Join the workshop and learn how to use RefWorks to create a reference list and insert them in your assignment in few minutes. RefWorks also support different citation styles such as MLA, Chicago, Harvard Style, etc.

 

7. Visualizing Your Research Data

Your presented data would be interpreted in a more effective way if it could be visualized. This workshop will introduce some handy and useful tools that helps to create graphs, charts, maps and other infographics. Together with desktop publishing techniques, your work will become more presentable.

 

8. 中國文學賞析

此工作坊介紹如何使用圖書館資源搜索中文科資料,課堂期間會提供示範及練習,令同學更得心應手。

 

9. Library Resources for Student of different Schools (Subject Area Specific)

This workshop will guide you to search library resources in different subject areas.
