This workshop will introduce how to find print and electronic materials in the Library when doing research for your assignments.

 

2. Using Google for Research

This workshop will help you optimize use of Google Scholar, Google Books and Google for your research and study.

 

3. Top 5 Things You Should Know for a Successful Project

Don’t know how to kick-start a project? This workshop will guide you to choose a topic, identify and evaluate resources and avoid plagiarism.

 

4. Manage Your Research with RefWorks

Struggling with your reference list in APA styles? Join the workshop and learn how to use RefWorks to create a reference list and insert them in your assignment in few minutes. RefWorks also support different citation styles such as MLA, Chicago, Harvard Style, etc.

 

5. Top 5 Techniques to Find Articles for Your Assignment Effectively

Journal articles are the best topic-specific resources for your assignment to help you get a higher mark. This workshop shows you how to search full-text journal articles using SearchPlus and SFX.

 

6. Finding Business Information I – Company Information and Industry Trends

Learn how to search company information and industry trends by Business Sources Complete, Business Insights: Global and LexisNexis Academic.

 

7. Finding Business Information II – Business News and Analyst Reports

Learn how to search business news and analyst reports by Factiva, Passport and CSMAR Solution.

 

8. Making a Professional Presentation and Discovering Materials in Special Formats

Introduce some cool and new presentation tools (Lucidpress and Prezi) and show how to search library materials in special formats (e.g. images, sound recordings, e-videos, etc.) to enrich your content.

 

9. Library Resources for Student of different subjects (Subject Specific)

This workshop will guide you to search library resources in different subjects.
